D e s i r e . . .

What do you do when you have dreams in your mind ?
Do you let them fade off, or allow them to shine ?
What do you think when there are things you wish to hire ?
That's when comes in "The Burning Desire".

`An earnest longing' is what we call a Desire,
The urge to grab on all that you admire.
Sometimes its fruitful & Sometimes in vain,
It's often puzzling to figure out if it's a `boon' or a `bane'.
It's sometimes appetizing & sometimes traumatizing,
Come what may, it's a feeling worth striving.

It makes you beg, It makes you borrow, & even makes you steal,
And once you have the upper hand,
Life seems a fair deal.
It makes you cry, It makes you sob,
The most evanescent annotation to the heart,
It's life, though quite short-lived without a single flaw,
Teaches you to live for a new start.

A Desire is often a commencement to great fights,
Ranging from that between friends to foes,
It juggles up the best of relations,
Rendering them passive from tip to toe.
It ignites the passion, the fire within,
Stimulates to live for what you dream,
It shows you ways that seem captivating,
But tends to navigate you away from the stream.

A Desire comprises various forms,
Desire for love, Desire for warmth.
Desire for knowledge, Desire for enlightenment,
Desire for money, power & position.
Desire for pride, Desire for legacy,
Desire for betterment, Desire for supremacy.
Some Desire to travel & explore the world,
Whereas some confine it to food, clothing & shelter,
Some even wonder WHAT to Desire,
And the rest leave it up to destiny to filter.

Every Desire comes with its pros & cons,
Some transitory & some lasting for long.
It does not matter as to WHAT you Desire,
All that's important is to NEVER cease the fire.
It isn't necessary to procure all that you Desire,
`Coz, somewhere, it would assassinate the Desire to DESIRE. . .
